NPC
Taerom “Thunderhammer” Fuiruim
A towering, soft-spoken master smith whose armor, weapons, and practical ironwork rank among the finest on the Sword Coast.
General description
Taerom is nearly seven feet tall and enormously broad, with chestnut hair and muttonchop whiskers streaked gray and white. Despite his size and reputation, he is quiet, unassuming, and reluctant to lead. He employs more than a dozen apprentices and accepts a steady flow of commissions from Amn.
Key facts
- Taerom can forge exceptional plate armor and ornate weapons from rare ores.
- His craftsmanship is respected by dwarven smiths.
- He has made masterwork components for Thalantyr to enchant.
- He increasingly favors locks, hinges, hooks, and secure coffers over grand commissions.

- Quirks
- Tests a claim by asking how something was made, turns flawed metal in his hands while thinking, and ends arguments in the forge without raising his voice.
