NPC
Pallan Greaves
A wary north-road courier carrying Voss's blue-wrapped tube, willing to trade the route and its records for a safe escape.
General description
Pallan Greaves is a lean human rider with a road-weathered face, quick eyes, and a habit of measuring gates, alleys, and possible tails. He wears light leather armor beneath a gray riding coat and keeps his courier satchel strapped close to his body.
Key facts
- Pallan rides a white-eared mule and carries a narrow tube wrapped in blue oilcloth.
- The tube contains a damaged cipher key, a courier roster, and Mordas's order for Voss to abandon Beregost.
- Pallan avoids melee and surrenders if escape becomes unlikely.
Roleplaying Pallan
Pallan answers questions with short road terms and keeps looking past the speaker. He values a credible route out of town more than loyalty to Voss.
